Almega Caravan Park, Camping Site near Hammanskraal

Description

Almega caravan park and camp is located only 45km North of Pretoria on the Rust-de-Winter road and borders the Dinokeng Groot 5 game reserve. Bring your family and friends and visit among many trees, green grass and abundant wildlife.

Each campsite is large and has its own exclusive five-star bathroom facilities and a sink for dishes. All pitches are equipped with a 15A power point and braai area. Bring your bike or walking shoes and explore the 15km dirt roads in the 200Ha farm. The surrounding area is home to more than 250 identified bird species and on the farm there is plenty of wildlife to view.

The owners of Almega caravan park and camping site are also camping people themselves and decided to build a caravan park as they would like it. They started with the following in mind:

Directions to site:

About 35km North of Pretoria on N1 take the Hammanskraal / Boekenhoutskloof exit.
Go through the toll gate and turn right onto the N1 highway.
50 meters further then turn left onto the Rust de Winter road.
Follow the Rust de Winter road through the Dinokeng game reserve gate for about 10km.
Go past the Safari shopping center on the left and then across the grid.
Keep straight past the De Wagensdrift dirt road.
1.2km further on, turn right at Almega Caravanpark's gate.
