Batis and Bass campsite is situated on the banks of the Breerivier. We offer a beautiful private campsite for birders, anglers and nature lovers.
Come and camp on the banks of the Breerivier! Ideal for anglers, birders and those of us who just want to relax. Very private and peaceful.
Exclusivity, electricity, shallow river for younger children, dog friendly, drinkable water, grass, shade, "kuier" firewood to last for days... a fabulous spot.
Some of the best birding and fishing in the Western Cape. Wake up with the call of the African Fish Eagle or the splashing of the resident Cape Clawless Otter family.
Private group camp site. The whole camp site is yours, whether you are 2 or 15 people. Nobody else sharing the bathroom or camp area.
No payment facilities at the venue. Arrive: 14h00 Depart: 10h00 (except Sundays 17h00).

The camp site is shaded with lots of green grass, no dust! The ablutions consists of 2 toilets, 1 gas shower, 1 basin and 1 sink. Electricity points are available. The camp site is pet friendly, with prior arrangements.
Activities:
Swimming and kayak in the river. We supply 2 kayaks. Wine tasting at nearby Breedekloof Wineries Kleinberg Clay Pigeon Club, social shoot every 3rd Saturday of the month. Lots of different mountain bike routes, inquire when making a booking. Lots of different hiking routes, inquire when making a booking

Directions to site:
The campsite is on the R43 between Ceres and Worcester. From Ceres it is 21km or 28km out of Worcester. The turnoff is 850m from the Slanghoek road from the Worcester side or 2.5km from the R301 Bain's Kloof Pass turnoff from the Ceres side.
The Bain's Kloof Pass road from Wellington can be used, when reaching the R43 Michell's pass road, turn right and drive 2.5km to the Batis and Bass campsite turnoff.
When coming from Rawsonville use the Slanghoek Road towards Ceres. At the R43 Michell's pass road T junction turn left and drive 850m to the campsite turnoff.
