Aan die Oewer campsite was the first part of the resort to be developed. The spacious and shaded campsites are all equipped with power points, fresh water taps, portable braai and ash bins. Although there are only 10 campsites, large groups such as caravans and other clubs can be accommodated with ease.
Aan Die Oewer ablution block has bath and shower facilities and is equipped with gas geysers. A dishwasher, an automatic washing machine and clothes lines, as well as a fridge/freezer combination are available for guests' use.
The climbing frame for the small team is part of the campsite. There is also a lovely river pool to cool off in on hot summer days. Die Oewer Snoepie is open seven days a week and sells all the basic essentials such as: wood, ice, milk etc.
Here vacationers and visitors from all over can come and discover the enchantment of the beautiful shore, the river and of course the hospitality of Orania and its people. Expansive lawns under the native wag-a-bietjie, thorn and karee trees offer space for children to play and for adults to just braai a little meat while enjoying the tranquility and beauty of the surroundings.
A camping ground, self-catering chalets and a hotel with 12 rooms provide enough accommodation for nearly 150 guests. The resort has many facilities such as a restaurant, spa, game room, swimming pool, kayaks and a raft on the river, while water fun such as inner tube riding and quad bike rides have recently been added. All the adventure activities are offered under the guidance of a skilled guide.
Come and visit Aan-die-Ower holiday resort and find out for yourself why it is called the "tourism jewel" of the Northern Cape.
