Bankfontein Campsiite a Vanderkloof Dam Camping Site, is located under shady trees along a creek about 1km from the banks of the dam. It consists of 6 permanent tents. There are a further six stands for campers who want to bring their own tents. There are two bathrooms fully equipped with hot water showers (donkeys) and toilets. The unique mountain shower is quite the experience!
The common cooking area is ideal for a cozy entertainment area and also functions as the "kitchen" for campers. There are lights available at the barbecue area,bathrooms, tents and limited power for power points (solar panels). Fridge and freezer available.
Please take note that special rates apply to groups larger than 10 people. The minimum stay of two nights during holidays is required. Firewood is available for sale at R50/bag.
