Bring your own tent or caravan to Montagu Guano Cave a R318 Camping Site, and camp under the trees for a few days. Each camping site offers an electrical point and water tap. We hope you enjoy our recently upgraded ladies and gents ablution blocks.
Maximum of 6 campers per site
Minimum booking of 2 nights over weekends and 3 nights over long weekends.
Only 1 vehicle is permitted per unit and per site, additional vehicles must be park at the office.

7km From MontaguAs you enter Montagu from Ashton, continue driving through the town cross the bridge as if you are heading to Barrydale. Take your very first left which will be "Talana Road". You should also see a sign for Doringlaagte. Travel exactly 2.8 kms and turn right into Doringlaagte.
Situated only 3 kilometres outside of Montagu, this is the family getaway you have been looking for. We strive to bring together like-minded people who enjoy the outdoors. Activities include fishing, canoeing/paddle boats, hiking, 4x4, mountain biking and our very own golf course!
Just because you spend most of our time outside, does not mean you cannot stay fresh, our ablution facilities are maintained at high standards for your comfort. Almost everyone gets to enjoy having a waterfront property at Doringlaagte during their stay, as the resort surrounds a very large dam.
Doringlaagte now boasts ten self-catering chalets, all bordering our dam. The good news is you need to pack very little when you visit, as most items like bedding and towels are provided. Nestled in a big open area surrounded by pecan nut, oak and Karee trees, is our large and shaded campsite. A favorite, particularly among climbers and outdoor enthusiasts. There are no demarcated stands at De Bos Guest Farm so you can always find your perfect spot. There are permanent barbecue areas and picnic tables as well as convenient braai drums that can be moved if need be. We have 5 bathrooms with toilets, washbasins and hot showers. There is also a kitchen for the campsite with a double gas hob, a refrigerator and scullery.

Nestled in the Karoo close to the historic town of Montagu is this breathtaking 600 Hectare nature reserve which is home to various wildlife species which include black and brown springbuck, blesbuck, kudus and many more. Explore the reserve on foot , mountain bike or follow the 4X4 route to the top of the mountain with its magnificent views .
The Mongoose Campsite a R318 Camping Site, , ideal for nature lovers is very private and offers its own private luxury ablution consisting of fully tiled shower, wash basin and flush toilet. Outside the ablution is wash up facilities with a sink. Hot water is provided via a gas geyser and lighting via solar lights. There is also a potable water point provided at the camp site.
The camp site also provides free unlimited WIFI so you can come camp in nature while working from home.
