60km From Our campsite at Karoo River Rafting does not have marked plots. You can pitch your tent or park your caravan where you like. There are a few electricity points from where you can lay an extension cord. The campsite are covered with grass and do have shade. Karoo River Rafting only take in a limited amount of people in at a time, to make your stay comfortable and memorable.

Steepside Guest Farm(Eastern Cape Camping)
24km From Steepside Guest Farm is owned by Kobus and Karen Buitendag. The farm is situated half-way between Barkly East and Rhodes in the picturesque Southern Drakensberg.
Steepside now also offers a campsite for the more adventurous folk. The campsite has 2 ablution blocks with toilets, warm-water showers and washing basins. There is no electricity at the campsite, but deep freezes at the main house will be available to store spoilables.
During the winter, the Tiffendell ski-resort is a mere 50km away from the farm.

Choose your spot on the Bell River, under a willow tree or in the forest next to the farm dam. Some sites have a braai and washbasin, while others are completely untouched. 52km From Balloch Cottages offer RUSTIC camp sites - there are power points but these only work when we have power available due to our use of a hydro electric system. So please enquire before you come as to whether there will be power or not, and be prepared to bring your own lighting system and fridges that run on vehicle batteries or solar panels. I am very happy to keep frozen foods in my deep freeze.
